The Piccoli family's Bianco di Custoza from the morainic rim at Valeggio sul Mincio. The glacially deposited soils on the southern slope of the Lake Garda moraine produce a fresh, food-friendly white with characteristic saline mineral character.

What it pairs with

  • Poached perch with butter and sage
The Garda region's classic lake fish with a simple butter sauce needs a light, mineral white.
  • Summer vegetable frittata
Light acidity and fresh character pair effortlessly with egg-based dishes.

History

Corte Gardoni was established in 1980 by the Piccoli family at Valeggio sul Mincio, a village at the southern tip of the Lake Garda morainic arc. The estate is on the interface between the Bianco di Custoza DOC and the Garda DOC zones, allowing production of both Custoza whites and Garda reds.
