Vigneti di Foscarino is Inama's pure basalt-volcanic Soave Classico from the historic Foscarino hill, the most volcanically active terroir in the Classico zone; 100% Garganega barrel-fermented for a mineral, almond-hazelnut complexity of striking length.
What it pairs with
-
Pasta with clam sauce (spaghetti alle vongole)
The wine's saline mineral character and racy acidity are the definitive match for Venetian clam pasta. -
White asparagus with butter
Asparagus from the Veneto plains finds a natural complement in the wine's almond and herbal notes. -
Oysters with shallot mignonette
The volcanic mineral salinity in the wine echoes the oceanic iodine of fresh oysters.
History
Giuseppe Inama pioneered quality Soave Classico production from the Foscarino hill after acquiring the estate in 1991, recognising the extraordinary volcanic basalt soils as capable of producing world-class white wine. The Vigneti di Foscarino bottling established Inama's reputation as a Soave reference.
- 1991 — Inama founded; first Vigneti di Foscarino Soave Superiore DOCG
