Half Bajocien limestone and half Lias clay. The must is muted with marc before it can ferment, which is what separates a mistelle from a fortified wine, and the liqueur then rests two years in cask. The estate describes a powerful nose and a suave palate on spice notes.

What it pairs with

  • Served chilled as an aperitif
The aperitif is the estate's own first suggestion.
  • Foie gras
Tissot names foie gras, where the sweetness and spirit cut the fat.
  • Dessert or as a digestif
The estate offers it at both ends of the meal.
  • Melon
The estate suggests pouring it over melon, a standard Macvin serve.
