Palate: mirabelle plum, cooked prune

A mistelle, not a wine fermented and then fortified: one third aged Marc du Jura to two thirds fresh must straight off the press, rested a year in cask. Mouillard reports mirabelle and cooked prune, and serves it chilled.

What it pairs with

  • Served chilled as an aperitif
The domaine's own first serving suggestion.
  • Dessert course
Mouillard offers it over dessert as well as before the meal.
  • Blue cheese
The sweetness and marc spirit carry salty veined cheese.
