Aroma: white flowers, lemon zest, peach, salted almond

Palate: citrus, stone fruit, fennel, mineral saline

The white counterpart to SP68 Rosso: Grecanico and Zibibbo from volcanic soils, aromatically intense, mineral and saline with a citrus-peach freshness.

What it pairs with

  • Raw seafood
Salinity and citrus acidity are the classic companions for raw crustaceans and molluscs.
  • Insalata di polpo
The wine's mineral-citrus profile mirrors the lemon-dressed octopus.
  • Grilled vegetables with herbs
Aromatic Zibibbo and herbal Grecanico complement char-grilled summer vegetables.

History

Occhipinti introduced the white SP68 to mirror the red, blending native Grecanico with Zibibbo from her organically farmed Vittoria plots. It shares the road-name identity and natural-wine ethos of the red, adding aromatic depth from the Zibibbo grape.
