In the glass
Aroma: cherry, dried herbs, iron, mineral
Palate: red cherry, herbal, medium tannin, mineral finish
Feudi del Pisciotto's DOCG expression from the restored manor estate in the Val di Noto shows the Cerasuolo di Vittoria character cleanly: cherry, mineral and herbaceous with the appellation's characteristic clay-soil earthiness.
What it pairs with
-
Grilled pork loin with fennel
Classic Cerasuolo pairing: the wine's herbal mineral notes echo the fennel while Nero d'Avola holds the pork. -
Chicken cacciatore
Lighter red meat suits the medium-bodied, herb-inflected DOCG style. -
Pasta al ragu bianco
High acidity and herbal character complement white-meat pasta sauces.
