Palate: red cherry, herbal, medium tannin, mineral finish

Feudi del Pisciotto's DOCG expression from the restored manor estate in the Val di Noto shows the Cerasuolo di Vittoria character cleanly: cherry, mineral and herbaceous with the appellation's characteristic clay-soil earthiness.

What it pairs with

  • Grilled pork loin with fennel
Classic Cerasuolo pairing: the wine's herbal mineral notes echo the fennel while Nero d'Avola holds the pork.
  • Chicken cacciatore
Lighter red meat suits the medium-bodied, herb-inflected DOCG style.
  • Pasta al ragu bianco
High acidity and herbal character complement white-meat pasta sauces.

History

Feudi del Pisciotto is set in an 18th-century restored manor on the edge of the Sughereta di Niscemi Nature Reserve. The estate produces Cerasuolo di Vittoria DOCG alongside a range of Sicilian varietals, combining wine production with boutique hotel and restaurant offerings.
