Aroma: red berry, dried rose

Palate: redcurrant, wild strawberry

The domaine calls Poulsard the most widely planted red in its vineyard and describes its wines as the palest reds in France, a medium intensity robe with orange highlights. Thin skins and very few pips, so almost no tannin, yet the estate insists on a supple frame that fills the palate with fruit.

What it pairs with

  • Raclette and Comte fondue
Melted cheese plates head the estate's own list.
  • Charcuterie hot or cold
Named by the domaine; low tannin makes cured pork easy.
  • Barbecue and grilled meat
The estate lists barbecue, grillades and roasts for this bottle.
