In the glass
Aroma: white flowers, crisp apple, lemon, light mineral
Palate: citrus peel, white peach, clean acidity, fine foam
Opere Trevigiane is Villa Sandi's premium DOCG Brut, positioned between Il Fresco DOC and the Cartizze grand cru. It uses Glera from selected hillside parcels within the Valdobbiadene DOCG zone for a more structured brut expression.
What it pairs with
-
Seafood pasta (spaghetti alle vongole)
Mineral and high-acid brut amplifies the briny clam and garlic character. -
Poached chicken in lemon sauce
Clean citrus thread in the wine mirrors the lemon in the sauce. -
Arancini (fried rice balls)
Crisp effervescence refreshes between bites of substantial fried food.
History
Opere Trevigiane (works of the Trevisian region) was launched to represent Villa Sandi's DOCG quality tier more precisely than the broader DOC Treviso Il Fresco. The label draws from hillside plots in the Valdobbiadene DOCG zone, giving a step up in complexity.
- 2007 — Villa Sandi introduces Opere Trevigiane as the premium Valdobbiadene DOCG Brut above Il Fresco.
