In the glass

Light-bodiedHigh acidityDryLong And Precise finish

Aroma: white peach, golden apple, lime zest, hawthorn

Palate: stone fruit, mineral, fine citrus acidity, long cream

One of the most admired single-vineyard Rive expressions in the Conegliano Valdobbiadene DOCG. The Giardino parcel sits on the steep Colbertaldo hillside; steep gradient, poor soils and attentive pruning give the wine its notable concentration and precision.

What it pairs with

  • Grilled lobster
Precision acidity and stone-fruit lift complement the sweetness of lobster.
  • Vitello tonnato
The wine's citrus freshness cuts through the tuna-cream dressing on veal.
  • Asparagus with hollandaise
Mineral acidity contrasts with rich hollandaise while echoing the green vegetable.

History

The Vigneto Giardino (garden vineyard) has been in the Adami family for generations. When the Consorzio launched the Rive category in 2009 to identify single-municipality harvests, Adami was among the first producers to release a Rive bottling. Rive di Colbertaldo is now among the most sought-after of the forty-plus individual Rive denominations.
