Aroma: ripe peach, tropical fruit, acacia honey, apricot

Palate: candied pear, lychee, cream, white flowers

Rich and aromatic expression from the 107-ha Cartizze grand cru hill. Bisol's long tenure on the hill and multi-generational vine stock give this off-dry sparkler a layered complexity unusual in Prosecco.

What it pairs with

  • Pandoro and panetone (Christmas pastries)
The off-dry, honey-toned Cartizze is the traditional Venetian match for festive pastry.
  • Peach tart
Stone fruit notes in the wine mirror the fruit in the tart for a seamless pairing.
  • Light panna cotta
Creamy texture of the wine cushions the rich set cream of panna cotta.

History

The Bisol family has owned vines on the Cartizze hill since at least the 19th century. The Cartizze designation is the apex of the Valdobbiadene DOCG hierarchy: 107 ha of single hill shared by approximately 140 growers. Bisol is consistently among the top references for the designation.

  1. 1875 — Bisol family documented owning Cartizze parcels in estate records.
  2. 1969 — Cartizze granted its own recognition within the Valdobbiadene DOC.
