Gorgo's Bardolino Classico from vineyards along the eastern Garda shore. A light, fresh Corvina-Rondinella red for everyday drinking, complementing the estate's main Custoza white wine focus.

What it pairs with

  • Grilled lake trout
Light Bardolino with freshwater fish is one of Italy's classic regional pairings.
  • Bruschetta with tomato and basil
Light red with fresh herb and tomato echoes the flavours of the dish.

History

Gorgo added Bardolino to the range in the mid-1990s to provide a Garda red at the lighter end of the spectrum, complementing the fuller Merlot Garda. Proximity to the Bardolino Classico zone means the estate can source Corvina and Rondinella from the historic core of the appellation.

  1. 1995 — Gorgo adds Bardolino Classico DOC to the estate range.
