History
Guerrieri Rizzardi is one of Italy's oldest documented wine estates, with vineyard records from 1649. The Bardolino Classico is the estate's expression of the Lake Garda lakefront appellation that surrounds the historic Bardolino town. The light, pale ruby style is characteristic of the sandy moraine soils along the eastern Garda shore.
- 1649 — Guerrieri Rizzardi records earliest documented vineyard production in Bardolino.
- 2001 — Bardolino Superiore elevated to DOCG, with the Classico sub-zone retaining DOC.
