Aroma: cherry, plum, dried herbs, warm spice
Palate: red and dark fruit, medium tannin, herbal, warm
Regaleali Rosso has been Tasca's everyday red since 1968: a multi-varietal native blend of Nero d'Avola, Perricone and Nerello Mascalese showing the breadth of the Regaleali plateau's terroir.
What it pairs with
-
Pasta con salsiccia
An everyday Sicilian red that suits pork sausage pasta reliably. -
Roast chicken with herbs
Medium body and herbal notes pair comfortably with roast chicken. -
Caponata
Warm red fruit and medium tannin hold their own against the sweet-sour intensity of caponata.
History
Regaleali Rosso is one of Sicily's longest-running estate reds, predating the island's fine-wine revolution. It uses native varieties from the Regaleali plateau and has always been the workhorse red of the Tasca range.
