Anthilia is Donnafugata's flagship entry white: Catarratto and Grecanico from the Contessa Entellina estate in a fresh, floral and mineral style that has defined quality Sicilian white wine for three decades.

What it pairs with

  • Shrimp in aglio e olio
Clean acidity and citrus notes are the natural match for garlicky prawns.
  • Insalata di mare
A Sicilian classic: Anthilia's freshness works seamlessly with marinated seafood.
  • Ricotta and herb crostini
Light floral aromatics and fresh acidity complement the mild, herby ricotta.

History

Donnafugata launched Anthilia in 1990 as their signature fresh white from the Contessa Entellina estate. The name was inspired by the Nymphaeum at Selinunte, a classical Sicilian archaeological site. It has become one of the island's most widely distributed quality whites.
