Planeta's varietal Grillo from the Menfi estate shows the Mediterranean coastal character of the grape: citrus verbena, sea-salt mineral and herbal freshness with the clean precision of Planeta's winemaking.

What it pairs with

  • Grilled whole branzino with lemon
Sea-salt mineral and citrus notes are the natural Grillo companions for whole grilled Mediterranean sea bass.
  • Spaghetti al pesto di pistacchio
Herbal lift and citrus freshness complement the richness of Sicilian pistachio pesto.
  • Oysters on the half-shell
Saline mineral character is a natural pairing for fresh oysters.

History

Planeta began producing a varietal Grillo from Menfi to showcase the most characteristically Sicilian white grape in a pure expression. The coastal influence of the Menfi estate near the Tyrrhenian Sea contributes to the wine's distinctive saline mineral character.
