Erzsébet Pince was founded in 1989 by Erzsébet Prácser, one of the region's first female winemakers, on Tokaj town's historic Bem Street wine-trading corridor. The dry Furmint has been the family's everyday wine from the first post-Communist private vintage.
Drink 2-8 from vintage. Young vintages benefit from 30-90 minutes of decanting; mature bottles should be handled carefully for sediment.
Pan-fried freshwater fish is the canonical pairing. Other strong matches include Cucumber salad with sour cream and Soft fresh cheese. Simple mineral Furmint is the local pairing for fresh-caught Tisza-region fish.
The blend is Furmint. The wine is classified as Tokaj PDO.
