What it pairs with

  • Fresh trout with herbs

Simple mineral Furmint with fresh dairy is the traditional Tokaj pairing.
  • Cold cuts and bread
Clean, crisp Furmint is a natural companion for a light charcuterie plate.

History

Hímesudvar was established in 1983 in a building on Tokaj town's Bem Street that dates to at least the 16th century and once served as a hunting lodge for King János Szapolyai. The cellar is among the oldest continually operated in the region, with Furmint production predating the 1989 privatisation era.
