What it pairs with

  • Foie gras with brioche
Classic pairing: Aszú's sweetness and acidity complement the richness of foie gras.
  • Roquefort with bitter walnuts
The sweet-sour tension of Aszú tames the intensity of strong blue cheese.
  • Orange-blossom crème brûlée
The floral and orange notes in the wine harmonise with the custard and caramel.

History

Disznókő was acquired by AXA Millésimes in 1992 and the first commercial Aszú appeared from the 1993 vintage. The 104-hectare contiguous estate at Mezőzombor, one of the largest single-ownership plots in Tokaj, allows Disznókő to produce Aszú consistently in good vintages.

  1. 1992 — AXA Millésimes acquires Disznókő and begins full renovation
