Thivin's Brouilly from the Reverdon lieu-dit at the base of Mont Brouilly: lighter-soiled, fruit-forward Gamay with bright acidity and gentle tannin.

What it pairs with

  • Salade lyonnaise
High acidity and light body complement egg and lardons without overwhelm.
  • Volaille en sauce crème
Soft cherry fruit balances rich cream poultry sauce.
  • Chèvre frais
Light, fresh Gamay is a natural partner for young goat's cheese.

History

The Reverdon lieu-dit sits on the flatter granite soils at the edge of the Brouilly appellation where Château Thivin holds parcels distinct from their Côte de Brouilly hilltop terroir.

  1. 1998 — Reverdon first bottled separately to differentiate Brouilly from Côte de Brouilly fruit
