Bodega del Abad's fresh Godello comes from twenty-five year old vines at Valtuille de Arriba at 550 metres, on stony soils carrying slate, quartzite and other minerals. It ferments in tank on indigenous yeasts with no oak.
Pale yellow with lemon glints, clean and bright. The aromas are fragrant, with ripe fruit over a delicate aniseed floral base and citrus touches that lift it. The palate is fresh, savoury and well balanced, easy to drink and persistent, with a clean fruity finish.
There is no oak. It ferments in tank with indigenous yeasts and goes to bottle young.
