History

La Jurisdicción takes its name from the village of Villalibre de la Jurisdicción, where most of the family's Godello parcels sit. The vines range from old plants grafted over to Godello to young plantings barely five years old, all north facing on the mountain slopes at the southern edge of the Bierzo, on soft soils with fine slate in clay gullies. It rests six months in wood on its fine lees.
