Saperavi from the Mukuzani PDO, where small concentrated clusters give deeply pigmented, bold wine rich in body and tannin. Dark ruby with sharply expressed cherry balanced by an elegant palate.

What it pairs with

  • Mtsvadi of beef
The Mukuzani appellation is Kakheti's grilled-beef red by convention, and this bottling has the tannin for it.
  • Chashushuli
Body and tannin at this level suit a long tomato-and-herb braise.
  • Aged guda cheese
Firm tannin is softened by a salty matured cheese.
