Jadot's Morgon from the Les Charmes climat within Château des Jacques holdings: iron-mineral, earthy and structured, showing the volcanic depth of Morgon with Burgundian barrel precision.

What it pairs with

  • Gigot d'agneau rôti à l'ail
Iron-mineral, structured Morgon is a natural companion for slow-roasted leg of lamb.
  • Cèpes à la bordelaise
The wine's earthy mineral notes find a match in porcini mushrooms with parsley and garlic.
  • Langres affiné
Washed-rind Langres cheese's pungency meets its match in structured Morgon.

History

Les Charmes is one of the Château des Jacques single-climat Morgon cuvées developed by Louis Jadot after the 1996 acquisition, applying Burgundian single-vineyard philosophy to Beaujolais for the first time at this scale.

  1. 1999 — Les Charmes first released as a single-climat Morgon at Château des Jacques
