In the glass
Aroma: violet, peony, cherry, red fruit, light mineral
Palate: silky cherry, medium tannin, elegant acidity, floral finish
Château des Jacques' Fleurie applies Burgundian barrel precision to the appellation's naturally perfumed Gamay: silky, floral and structured, more serious than the typical négociant Fleurie.
What it pairs with
-
Volaille de Bresse en demi-deuil
The truffle-under-the-skin Bresse chicken preparation finds a refined partner in structured Fleurie. -
Ris de veau en cocotte
Silky texture and floral profile complement braised veal sweetbreads. -
Reblochon de Savoie au naturel
The wine's light structure and floral delicacy complement the alpine cheese's gentle richness.
History
Château des Jacques' Fleurie was added to the range shortly after the 1996 Jadot acquisition, using fruit from select Fleurie parcels to demonstrate the Burgundian approach to the appellation's most perfumed cru.
- 1998 — Château des Jacques first releases Fleurie as part of the Jadot Beaujolais range
