In the glass
Aroma: white blossom, lemon, light mineral, pear
Palate: citrus, pear, saline mineral, clean finish
Tornatore's Etna Bianco is a fresh, straightforward expression of the large single-vineyard estate's Carricante and Catarratto: floral, citrus-forward and mineral-clean.
What it pairs with
-
Insalata di polpo fresco
Saline mineral and citrus freshness complement the oceanic flavours of fresh octopus. -
Fritto misto di pesce siciliano
Crisp acidity and light body are ideal with Sicilian mixed fried seafood. -
Bruschetta with fresh ricotta and olive oil
Floral freshness and citrus notes pair with the mild creaminess of fresh ricotta.
History
Tornatore added an Etna Bianco to the range in 2007 as consumer interest in Sicilian whites grew, drawing on Carricante and Catarratto from the north-slope single-vineyard holdings. The wine provides a fresh, affordable entry into Etna Bianco.
