Aroma: citrus blossom, white peach, volcanic mineral, herbs

Palate: lemon, green apple, saline, clean mineral

Alta Mora's Etna Bianco from pure Carricante on the north-slope Verzella contrada: bright, mineral and accessible, with the clean saline freshness characteristic of high-altitude Etna whites.

What it pairs with

  • Grilled prawns with lemon and olive oil
Mineral-saline Carricante pairs naturally with the sweet-briny character of grilled prawns.
  • Insalata di polpo
Saline character and citrus acidity bridge the octopus flavours cleanly.
  • Bruschetta with ricotta and lemon zest
Bright citrus notes and mineral freshness harmonise with the lemon-scented ricotta.

History

Alta Mora's Etna Bianco from pure Carricante was introduced alongside the red in 2014, providing a white expression of the Verzella contrada. As one of the most accessible Etna DOC Carricante offerings, it helped bring the variety to a wider international audience.
