Otto is Pra's barrel-aged prestige Soave, named for the year the oldest vines were planted (1908); extensive lees contact in barriques produces a Garganega of remarkable richness, hazelnut-cream complexity and long ageing potential.

What it pairs with

  • Risotto ai funghi porcini
The wine's hazelnut-cream depth and umami-like weight are a natural match for earthy porcini risotto.
  • Turbot with beurre blanc
Rich flat fish and butter sauce demand the full-weight Garganega treatment that Otto provides.

History

Otto was created as Pra's top-tier barrel-aged expression from vines planted in 1908 (otto means eight in Italian, referencing 1908). Extended lees contact in French barriques adds complexity while the basalt soils maintain the mineral core.

  2. 1908 — Original vineyard planting that gives Otto its name
