Aroma: ripe berries, blackberry, cherry, raspberry, hibiscus

Palate: caramel, eucalyptus, liquorice, forest floor, smoke

Ruby and dense, a sweet Merlot from overripe fruit. Concentrated berry and hibiscus aromatics, caramel and liquorice on the palate, with tannin keeping the sweetness in check.

What it pairs with

  • Berry desserts
Movia names berry puddings; the wine repeats the fruit rather than competing with it.
  • Cherry cake or strudel
The cherry note in the wine runs straight into the filling.
  • Grilled prunes wrapped in prosciutto
Salt from the ham holds the residual sugar in balance.
