Aroma: ripe and overripe berries, cooked fruit, leather, oak, green tea, cigar, sandalwood

Palate: black fruit, leather, sweet spice

Very dark and almost opaque ruby with carmine at the rim. Bjana's only still wine and its most serious bottling, silky and full with settled acidity under the tannin.

What it pairs with

  • Dry aged beef
Firm tannin from fourteen days on the skins handles heavy marbling.
  • Venison with juniper
The leather and cigar register meets the game directly.
  • Aged hard cheese
Two years in barrique leave the structure to survive salt and crystal.
