Aroma: ripe plum, black cherry, blueberry, blackberry

Palate: butter, vanilla, sweet spice, liquorice, pepper, forest floor, cedar, chocolate

Translucent ruby Merlot and Cabernet blend from the Turno plot at Ceglo. Ripe black fruit and sweet spice, velvety tannins that dry the mouth quickly, a chocolate hint at the close.

What it pairs with

  • Juicy veal steak
Movia names veal; the medium tannin handles the meat without masking it.
  • Beef Wellington
Cedar and sweet spice run with the pastry and duxelles.
  • Game stew
Forest floor in the wine repeats the flavours in the pot.
