Chapoutier's flagship Saint-Joseph, from old granite parcels in the northern part of the appellation. Biodynamic Syrah with concentration and terroir focus.

What it pairs with

  • Roasted lamb shoulder
The wine's pepper, herbs, and dark fruit match the richness of roasted shoulder.
  • Seared beef tartare
Raw beef's mineral and fat are complemented by the wine's granite tannins.
  • Grilled Cote de boeuf
Generous marbled beef steak needs a wine with structure and concentration.

History

Les Granits is a single-parcel Saint-Joseph from old Syrah vines on granite soils in the appellation's most favoured northern terroir. It is Chapoutier's most ambitious Saint-Joseph.
