Aroma: beeswax, acacia honey, toasted almonds, white flowers, lanolin

Palate: rich stone fruit, hazelnut, golden cream, mineral depth, incredibly long finish

One of the world's most profound white wines. 100% Marsanne from the De l'Oree parcel of the Hermitage hill, biodynamically farmed, producing liquid gold that evolves magnificently for decades.

What it pairs with

  • Creamy lobster thermidor
The wine's waxy richness and mineral depth are in harmony with lobster cream.
  • White truffle risotto
The wine's honey and hazelnut register magnifies white truffle aromatics.
  • Aged Comté at 24 months
Nutty oxidative characters in aged Comté mirror the wine's evolved hazelnut notes.

History

De l'Oree was first produced in 1990 from a specific parcel of old Marsanne vines on the Hermitage hill. Marsanne's tendency to close down after 3-5 years and re-emerge after 10-15 years makes De l'Oree a wine for patient collectors.

  1. 1990 — First vintage of De l'Oree as a separate single-parcel white Hermitage
