Aroma: butter, yellow apple, dried herbs

Palate: citrus, apple, crushed stone

Delicate lemon coloured, with a buttery note over yellow apple and a touch of dried herbs. Matjaz Cetrtic calls it an aperitif Rebula, and it is built that way: young, fresh and long.

What it pairs with

  • Oysters
Ferdinand names oysters; the steel raising leaves nothing between the wine and the brine.
  • Sushi
The producer names sushi; high acidity and low alcohol keep raw fish clean.
  • Fish starters
Medium body sits beside a light first course without covering it.
