In the glass
Aroma: black fruits, leather, licorice, coffee, oriental spices
Palate: powerful attack, rich dark fruit, firm tannic structure, great finesse, long mineral finish
Guigal's flagship Hermitage from a specific parcel on the granite hill of Tain. Dense, mineral 100% Syrah with black fruit, leather and oriental spice complexity.
What it pairs with
-
Roast leg of lamb with garlic and rosemary
The classic Hermitage and Rhone lamb pairing; mineral Syrah and lamb fat are natural companions. -
Venison daube with orange zest
Game intensity and the wine's granite structure create a compelling partnership. -
Braised oxtail
Slow-cooked collagen-rich beef matches the wine's concentrated dark fruit register.
