In the glass
Aroma: blackberry, cassis, smoked meat, granite mineral, dried herbs
Palate: structured dark fruit, mineral, firm tannins, tobacco, long savoury finish
Delas's flagship Hermitage, from parcels owned by the house on the granite hill. A reliable and well-structured expression of the appellation from one of the Northern Rhone's established negociant houses.
What it pairs with
-
Roast leg of lamb
Classic Northern Rhone pairing; the wine's mineral structure and dark fruit match lamb perfectly. -
Beef pot-au-feu
Traditional French boiled beef requires a substantial, mineral red. -
Game bird terrine
The wine's dark fruit and tobacco notes match game bird preparations.
