History
Eszencia (Essence) is the rarest Tokaj category: only the gravity-drained free-run juice of individually selected botrytised Aszú berries, with residual sugar of 450-900 g/l. Disznókő produces it only in exceptional vintages. Historically it was considered medicinal and reserved for the Habsburg court.
