History

El Cepón takes its name from the paraje it comes from, a twenty hectare zone of old hillside Mencía at Villadecanes near the winery, fifty years old at 480 metres with a southwest aspect on clay and sand. The wine is a limited edition raised thirteen months in foudre and concrete egg.
