Tacchetto is a single-vineyard Bardolino Chiaretto from the estate's oldest Corvina vineyard. Chiaretto (meaning 'light' or 'pale') is the rosato of Garda, made by short skin contact on Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. Pale salmon-pink with delicate berry and rose aromatics.

What it pairs with

  • Grilled lake perch (persico)
Bardolino Chiaretto is the quintessential companion to Garda's lake perch.
  • Carpaccio di manzo
Pale rosato's delicate tannins and fresh acidity contrast the richness of raw beef.
  • Summer caprese salad
The wine's strawberry-tomato register and acidity align with a fresh caprese.

History

Tacchetto is a vineyard name within the Guerrieri Rizzardi estate at Bardolino. The Chiaretto style was historically produced throughout the Garda area as the 'rosato' of the region, made by bleeding off juice from red grapes after a brief skin contact. The Classico designation restricts production to the historic Bardolino core.

  1. 1995 — Guerrieri Rizzardi releases Tacchetto as a single-vineyard Bardolino Chiaretto Classico DOC.
