Alta Mora's premium single-contrada Etna Rosso from the celebrated Guardiola contrada: the estate's most structured and mineral expression from high-altitude old-vine Nerello Mascalese.

What it pairs with

  • Grilled lamb with wild herbs
Firm tannins and mineral depth pair naturally with the gamey, herb-scented lamb.
  • Braised oxtail with tomato and olives
The wine's density and graphite character handle the richness of slow-cooked oxtail.
  • Aged Ragusano with black olives
Firm tannins and iron-mineral intensity are balanced by the salty aged cheese.

History

Alta Mora added a single-contrada Guardiola bottling in 2016 to complement the estate red, drawing on old Nerello Mascalese vines in this celebrated high-altitude contrada. The wine positions Alta Mora alongside the premium single-vineyard Etna Rosso tier at an accessible price point.
