  • Roast rib of beef
A wine of this concentration needs plain, rich meat.

History

Brigaldara vinifies the fruit of its different vineyards separately and follows each through ageing. There is no cru dedicated to the Riserva: after roughly four years some casks reveal exceptional longevity, and those lots are set aside and given more time.

Frequently asked about Brigaldara Amarone della Valpolicella Riserva

Is there a dedicated vineyard for the Brigaldara Riserva?

No. The estate explains that grapes from its different vineyards are vinified separately and followed over time, and that after around four years of maturation some casks show themselves particularly long-lived. Those lots are isolated and left to age longer, becoming the Riserva.

Does every vintage of Brigaldara Riserva taste the same?

No. Because it is a cask selection, the estate says each Riserva is unique and reflects the characteristics of its vintage and of the vineyards it comes from.

What classification does Brigaldara Riserva have?

Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Riserva, which requires longer minimum ageing than a standard Amarone.
