Brilliant ruby with a fruited nose of cherry, sour cherry and plum and a pleasantly savoury, harmonious mouth: fresh, young and ready without needing long ageing.
The base red of the Coali family's Corte Rugolin at Valgatara, drawn from parcels in Marano, Sant'Ambrogio and San Pietro in Cariano and vinified with ten days on the skins.
The estate describes a brilliant ruby colour, a fruity scent recalling cherry, sour cherry and plum, and a pleasantly savoury and harmonious taste, making a fresh young wine ready to drink without long ageing.
Four months in steel vats followed by three months in bottle. There is no oak, which is why the fruit stays so direct.
The producer suggests pasta, risotto and white meats. Serve it at 14 to 16 degrees Celsius as the estate recommends.
