What it pairs with

  • Halászlé (Hungarian fish soup)
The wine's mineral clarity and high acidity cut through the paprika-rich soup broth.
  • Roasted chicken with lemon and herbs
Lemon and herb notes in the wine mirror classic roasting aromatics.
  • Soft goat's cheese log
Chalk mineral and tangy cheese form a natural textural and flavour match.

History

The Szt. Tamás (St. Thomas) dűlő is one of Mád's three first-class classified vineyards. Szepsy began separate dry Furmint vinification from this site in 2003, paralleling the single-vineyard sweet-wine tradition with an equivalent dry-wine expression.

  1. 2003 — First separate Szt. Tamás Furmint dry vinification by Szepsy
