Le Ragose sits above Arbizzano di Negrar on red and brown clay, volcanics and Eocene limestone, and the estate has documents showing vines on the site for at least four hundred years. All its wines come off simple Trentina pergola at 4200 vines per hectare with no irrigation.
The estate describes a ruby red colour with an almond scent and tones of rose and cherry, and a fresh, dry, pleasantly tart taste. It is 12.5 degrees of alcohol.
Le Ragose says the wine should be drunk within one to two years to appreciate its scents and vivacity. Serve at room temperature, slightly cool in summer.
The producer suggests pasta, soups, cured meats, boiled meats and white meats.
