What it pairs with

  • Wachau-style carp
Mineral Riesling is the traditional partner for the Danube's freshwater carp.
  • Seared langoustine
Lime mineral and acidity complement the sweetness of seared crustaceans.
  • Fresh Ricotta with lemon
Citrus mineral notes echo the freshness of lemon-dressed Ricotta.

History

The Steinvordern Ried is one of the Joching area's most-regarded Riesling sites. The Jamek estate's production from these parcels demonstrates the quality that Joching can achieve for Riesling alongside Weissenkirchen's more famous Achleiten and Klaus sites.

  1. 1978 — First Steinvordern Riesling Smaragd produced as a single-Ried cuvée from the Joching estate
