Richer, more luxuriant Smaragd Grüner Veltliner from the Frauenweingärten (women's vineyards) Ried: concentrated peach and pepper spice with full body and mineral depth.

What it pairs with

  • Roasted veal with rosemary
Concentrated Smaragd with spiced richness matches a luxury veal roast.
  • Pan-seared monkfish
Full-bodied mineral Grüner holds its own with the firm texture of monkfish.
  • Aged Bergkäse
Rich, full Grüner with spice finds a companion in Alpine mountain cheese.

History

Frauenweingärten (women's vineyards) is a site with historical association with monastic or community viticulture. F.X. Pichler's version from the Loiben area produces one of their richest and most concentrated Grüner Veltliner Smaragd expressions.
