Aroma: rose, violet, dark cherry, spice

Palate: black fruit, mineral, truffle, silk

From a tiny parcel, one of the most sought-after wines in the world: ethereal perfume over a deep, mineral core.

What it pairs with

  • Roast venison with cassis jus
Game meat and a blackcurrant reduction echo a grand-cru Pinot's wild fruit and firm tannin.
  • Epoisses de Bourgogne
The washed-rind cow's-milk cheese's pungent cream needs a wine with grip and acidity to balance it.
  • Truffled poularde
The wine's rare perfume and depth meet a truffled chicken's earthy richness.
