What it pairs with

  • Cassoulet de canard
The most concentrated Chenas cuvee from Bureaux suits the richness of duck cassoulet.
  • Wild boar with juniper and black pepper
Game preparations with bold seasonings match the power of old-vine Chenas.
  • Roquefort cheese with quince paste
Blue cheese sharpness and sweet quince balance the wine's dense tannin.

History

The Vieilles Vignes cuvee from Domaine des Bureaux draws from the oldest Gamay vines in the Chenas appellation. These vines, planted before 1950, yield very low quantities of concentrated fruit.
