History

Pyjama Mencía is the estate's village wine for its Villafranca del Bierzo holdings, drawn from parcels farmed under regenerative agriculture. The bush vines are at least seventy years old, the soil is not worked and no herbicides are used, only mowing, so biodiversity can spread. Fermentation is spontaneous on indigenous yeasts with no added sulphur, and the wine spends twelve months in barrel.
