La Fabriseria (old Venetian dialect for the forge) is Tedeschi's second single-vineyard Amarone from a plot on the Monte Olmi hillside; greater tobacco-iron concentration than the Capitel Monte Olmi, with a more austere, mineral-forward character.

What it pairs with

  • Braised duck leg with cinnamon and dried fruit
The wine's tobacco-iron complexity and dried-fruit concentration are ideal for spice-braised duck.
  • Aged Grana Padano 36 months
Crystalline Grana provides salt and umami contrast to the wine's intense dried-fruit density.

History

La Fabriseria was added by Tedeschi alongside Capitel Monte Olmi to demonstrate the different character of adjacent plots on the Monte Olmi hillside; the La Fabriseria parcel produces a more austere, iron-mineral style compared to the richer Capitel Monte Olmi.
