Soldera's flagship pure Sangiovese, now under Toscana IGT after withdrawing from Brunello DOCG. Ethereal, perfumed, profound.

What it pairs with

  • Truffle-shaved game
Soldera's aromatic precision pairs with white truffle.
  • Aged Parmigiano with chestnut honey
Crystal salt and sweet honey amplify the wine's herbal precision.
  • Pigeon with foie gras
Game richness for the wine's library bottle structure.

History

Gianfranco Soldera founded Case Basse in 1972 and built one of Italy's most fabled estates. After a cellar sabotage in 2012 the estate withdrew from Brunello DOCG in 2013; subsequent vintages are bottled as Toscana IGT.

  3. 2019 — Gianfranco Soldera dies; children continue the estate
